Fascination: Helena's Story
Holocaust survivor Helena Weinrauch has lived through the worst of the 20th Century, yet at 96, she exudes joie de vivre, compassion and forgiveness.She grew up in Drohobycz, Poland, and survived three concentration camps, torture by the Gestapo and two firing squads. At the age of 88, she fulfilled a long-held dream of becoming a Ballroom Dancer. This award-winning film, which won Best Documentary at the New York International Film Festival, weaves her memories of the war with her joyous life now as a dancer and celebrates her radiant spirit.
